The New York State Oral Health Coalition (NYSOHC) is a broad-based association that is comprised of programs and organizations, healthcare providers, state oral health officials, insurers, health advocates, and policy leaders from across New York.

NYSOHC worked with the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Dental Health, the New York State Public Health Association, and other stakeholders to develop the New York State Oral Health Plan, a blueprint for achieving optimal oral health for all New Yorkers.

 

The Plan addresses the burden of oral disease across the state and documents goals, objectives, and strategies that cover a broad spectrum of issues related to policy development, prevention, access to care, workforce, communications, and surveillance and research.

 

The coalition is now moving to become a permanent, sustainable organization.
